It answers every question you don’t want answered on the wedding morning: how the foundation behaves on your skin after six hours, whether the lashes feel heavy, whether the lip color argues with the bouquet. The sweet spot is three to six weeks before the date, once the dress and hairstyle are decided.
Bring photos of the dress, the jewelry and the planned hair, plus two or three makeup references you love. And one tip from practice: come in a white or light top. Even perfect bridal makeup looks like it belongs to someone else above a black T-shirt, and you won’t be able to judge it fairly.

If the wedding is outside Belgrade
Half of Serbia’s prettiest weddings happen out of town: the Fruška Gora wineries, ethno villages, venues under Avala mountain, restaurants on the Danube bank. The simplest playbook is still a Belgrade morning: makeup done before you travel to the venue. If you’re getting ready on site instead, out-of-town travel is possible but agreed case by case: distance, driving time and your departure hour all shape the price and the artist’s schedule.
One practical rule: raise the out-of-town question early and name the exact venue. «Near Belgrade» can mean twenty minutes or ninety, and the artist needs to know which before confirming your date.
What bridal makeup looks like here right now
Serbian bridal classic used to mean full glam: sculpted skin, smoky eyes, a flawless wing. It still photographs beautifully and hasn’t gone anywhere. But recent seasons belong to «your skin, but better»: light base, a real-looking flush, tidy eyes, nude-family lips.
