Šminkopedia in English: Makeup in Belgrade Without the Language Barrier

Welcome! This is the English corner of Šminkopedia, a Serbian project run by the Association of Professional Makeup Artists of Belgrade. The rest of the site speaks Serbian; these pages exist so that finding and booking professional makeup in Belgrade takes you one message, not one translation marathon.

Why bother with an English section? Because Belgrade has quietly become an international city: expats, remote workers, diplomats, students, couples flying in to get married by two rivers; and the local beauty scene, excellent as it is, still markets itself almost entirely in Serbian. We know this scene from the inside, so we wrote down the answers once, properly.

Start here

If you need makeup for an event, a shoot, a special dinner or just a very good day, start with makeup artist in Belgrade. It covers real prices in dinars and euros, how booking works over Instagram, which neighborhoods artists cover, who does home and hotel visits, and how to vet a portfolio when you can’t read the captions.

Getting married? Go straight to wedding makeup in Belgrade: trials, packages, booking your date in high season, the morning timeline and how makeup survives a sixteen-hour Serbian wedding. And if you need the full production for one morning, hair and makeup in Belgrade explains how to combine both without logistics eating your day.

Prices at a glance

So you know the ballpark before you click anywhere: a standard professional makeup look in Belgrade costs around 70 euros, with the full professional range at 8,000–25,000 dinars depending on complexity and the artist’s name. A wedding package with a trial runs 15,000–40,000 dinars. An artist coming to your home or hotel is a premium service from about 100 euros. Each page above breaks down where every number comes from.

Will English be a problem?

It doesn’t have to be. Booking runs through Instagram DM, so you can write in English at your own pace, and the working language of makeup is reference photos anyway. Andrijana Ljubić, one of Belgrade’s most famous makeup artists, regularly works with international clients; send her a DM with your date and references, and confirm the price and time in writing.

Who we are

Šminkopedia is a non-commercial project of the Association of Professional Makeup Artists of Belgrade. We maintain a verified directory of artists: every name checked by us personally, no paid placements, no commissions. And we write about makeup, skincare and the city’s beauty events. Belgrade has cheaper hobby-level services too; our territory is the professional scene.

The full directory lives at šminkeri; Serbian interface, self-explanatory cards: name, neighborhood, specialty, Instagram. Message the artist directly on Instagram; a DM lets you write in English at your own pace, and a translation app covers the rest. Each profile links straight to their account, so you book with them one on one.
